There is good news on the horizon for Torontonians who have been eagerly waiting for the warm weather to arrive.
CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Toronto could feel like 30 when factoring in humidity come next Tuesday.
“The transition out of the cold and unsettled weather pattern to a bright and beautiful weekend forecast will require a little patience and wardrobe flexibility,” Coulter said on Wednesday.
Torontonians are off to a wet, cool start Wednesday but the long-range weather picture is looking much brighter, Coulter said.
Environment Canada is calling for rain and a high of 16 C on Wednesday, about three degrees cooler than normal for this time of year. Thursday will see more cloud cover and a high of 14 C.
“Generally, the weekend is looking fantastic,” Coulter said of the upcoming long weekend. “Get ready for a beautiful weekend.”
The national weather agency said Toronto will see sunshine and a daytime high of 21 C on Friday. Saturday could see some showers but will be mostly sunny with a high of 23 C. Sunday will bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 21 C.
Rain is back in the mix on Monday and Tuesday with daytime highs of 25 C and 22 C on each day respectively.
“I think you are going to like what’s in the long-range forecast. In one week, we go from yesterday’s frost advisory... to potentially a humidex in the 30s next Tuesday,” Coulter said Wednesday.
“Soon we’ll be able to put away the thicker spring jackets for good.”
