Man taken to hospital after shooting in Brampton

CP24's Phil Perkins reports from the scene in Brampton where a man suffered serious by non-life-threatening injuries after being shot.

A man has been rushed to hospital after a shooting in Brampton on Wednesday evening.

It happened in the area of Lancewood Crescent and Laurelcrest Street, near Queen Street East and West Drive, at around 4:29 p.m.

When police arrived, they located a male suffering from gunshot wounds.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a local trauma centre with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the incident was targeted; however, no information on suspects is available.
