Just in time for the first long weekend of the summer, Toronto is finally turning a corner on the “seemingly endless run of cool and unsettled days,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter says.
The Victoria Day long weekend will see a “stretch of bright and beautiful weather,” he noted. “And there will be no looking back for a while.”
Environment Canada is calling for sunshine and a high of 19 C on Friday. The high will climb to 22 C on Saturday but some showers are possible later in the afternoon.
Sunshine and a high of 23 C and 25 C are expected on Sunday and Monday respectively.
“For the first time in 2026, a humidex in the 30s is likely for Monday and Tuesday,” Coulter noted.
A short-lived cooldown is expected at the end of the work week next week but temperatures will quickly recover.
