A loaded gun has been recovered and a 29-year-old man is facing several charges after shots were fired inside an establishment in Toronto’s Queen West area late last week.
The incident happened on May 14 inside an unnamed located near Queen Street West and Bathurst Street.
Toronto police said they were called to that area at around 3:10 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
Investigators said a man attended an establishment in that area and got into a verbal argument with staff members. He then allegedly took out a gun and fired it.
No injuries were reported.
Police say the man was detained until officers arrived at the scene and was placed in custody.
A loaded firearm was recovered at the scene, they said.
Kyle Allan Gallant, 29, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with discharge firearm with intent, possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order. The charges have not been tested in court.
He was scheduled to appear in bail court on May 14.
