2 Toronto police officers rushed to hospital following collision in Scarborough

A Toronto Police cruiser was involved in a collision in Scarborough on Tuesday. Two officers were sent to hospital and the driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured. (Chopper 24)

Two Toronto police officers have been rushed to the hospital following a collision in Scarborough on Tuesday.

The collision happened in the area of Finch Avenue East and Midland Avenue at around 11:55 a.m.

Police say the driver of the other vehicle was also sent to the hospital.

Paramedics tell CTV News they brought one man to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. They added that two others were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear at this time but Toronto police said a pole was knocked down in the area.

Roads in the area are closed at this time.
