MADRID, SPAIN - 2026/03/31: Shoppers are seen at the American multinational retail stores corporation, Costco Wholesale in Madrid.

Costco Canada is warning shoppers of a recall of some shampoo and conditioner that was sold at their warehouses in Ontario and Quebec earlier this month.

In a notice to Costco shoppers last Friday, the retailer warned about the recall for Renpure Tea Tree and Rosemary Scalp Rebalancing Shampoo and Conditioner that was sold between May 10 and May 12.

Costco says the products are being recalled due to “possible elevated microbial levels,” which could cause mild skin irritation or sensitivity.

The following lot codes for the 946-millilitre bottles are impacted: 2603C065 and 2604C066. Costco says these codes can be found at the bottom of the shampoo bottles.

As of Friday, there have been no reports of serious adverse reactions to the shampoo and conditioner.

Costco advises anyone who has these products to stop using them and return the bottles to any of its warehouses for a full refund.
