Toronto’s first heat event of the season is over as a heat warning that’s been in place since Sunday has ended.
Environment Canada lifted the warning on Tuesday evening as temperatures began to drop, reaching a low of 10 C overnight.
Toronto reached a high of 30 C on Tuesday at 4 p.m., feeling closer to 36 when factoring in the humidity.
A severe thunderstorm watch has also been lifted.
It was issued on Tuesday afternoon as conditions were favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that would bring strong winds and large hail.
Much cooler temperatures will arrive on Wednesday, which will see a daytime high of 18 C and clear conditions.
A mix of sun and clouds is in the forecast on Thursday. The temperature will reach a high of just 16 C.
Friday calls for cloudy conditions and a daytime high of 15 C.
It will be a wet weekend as showers are in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday with highs of 16 C and 17 C, respectively.
