Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow says free TTC subway service will return following concerts at Rogers Stadium this season.
Speaking at an announcement on Thursday, Chow revealed that the city and the TTC have once again partnered with Live Nation Canada to provide complimentary subway rides after all shows at the venue.
“This season at Rogers Stadium is going to be big, and I’m pleased to announce that once again this year subway services from the stadium will be free after all shows, thanks to TTC and city’s partnership with Live Nation,” Chow said.
The temporary, open-air venue, which has a capacity to host 50,000 people, is located on the grounds of the former Downsview airport. Rogers Stadium shouldn’t be confused with Rogers Centre, which is located downtown.
The mayor also adds that Live Nation Canada will sponsor free subway service from Sheppard West Station, Downsview Park Station and Wilson Station following every concert, beginning 30 minutes before each show ends.
Chow also said the TTC will increase subway service before and after events to help manage crowds travelling to and from the stadium.
“The TTC is adding additional subway service, beginning an hour-and-a-half before the show, and after 8 p.m. as it should, to bring the crowds home from the stadium,” she said.
In addition, the transit agency says there will be extra buses deployed on routes 84 Sheppard West, 96 Wilson, and 106 Sentinel. There will also be parking at Sheppard West, Pioneer Village, Highway 407, and Finch West stations.
This marks the second consecutive year the TTC has offered free post-concert subway service following the inaugural season of Rogers Stadium last year. The 2026 season is set to begin May 23 with Bruno Mars.
