Cool, rainy weather expected this weekend; warm weather to follow

Have your rain boots and rain jackets ready this weekend.

According to Environment Canada, Toronto is heading into a wet, cool, and windy weekend before returning to warmer temperatures next week.

Friday will start on a brighter note, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 15 C. Easterly winds of 30 to 50 km/h are expected. Clouds are expected to move in overnight, accompanied with an evening low of 10 C.

Temperatures are expected to cool off on Saturday, with a high of 11 C and a mix of rain and clouds expected in the morning. Between 10 and 15 mm of rain is predicted, paired once again with easterly winds of 30 to 50 km/h. Showers are expected to continue into the evening, with a low of 9 C.

Warmer weather coming Sunday

Warmer temperatures are expected to return to the city on Sunday. A high of 20 C with a mix of clouds and a 40 per cent chance of showers is expected, temperatures are likely to cool off heading into evening, paired with a low of 12 C.

Similar weather is expected on Monday, with a high of 23 C and a mix of clouds and a 30 per cent chance of showers. Skies are expected to clear by the evening, accompanied by a low of 13 C.
