An equipment issue has halted service on the UP Express and is resulting in significant delays on two GO train routes.

UP Express trains are not operating to or from Union Station because of an equipment issue west of the station, according to Metrolinx.

As a result of UP Express cancellations, GO Express buses are operating between Union Station and Toronto Pearson International Airport, as well as from Pearson to Union Station.

Buses are running every 20 minutes in both directions.

Customers travelling to Bloor, Mount Dennis or Weston stations are being encouraged to explore alternate travel options.

For information on stop locations, you can visit the UP Express website.

There is also significant delays on the Kitchener GO and Barrie GO lines, with several trains already cancelled.
