Toronto police are searching for two suspects after two people were assaulted in downtown Toronto last month.

It happened in the area of King Street and Blue Jays Way at 2:45 a.m. on April 12.

Police said a victim was walking on the sidewalk when two suspects approached and engaged them in conversation.

One suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, which resulted in serious injuries.

Shortly later, the same suspects engaged a second victim and allegedly assaulted them. Police said the second victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspects, police said, were part of a larger group that fled the area.

In a news release on Wednesday, police released images of the two suspects, who are both men in their 20s, five-foot-10 with average build.

One is described as having short brown hair, a goatee and was last seen wearing a black dress shirt, black pants and black dress shoes.

The other suspect has short dark hair, is clean-shaven and was wearing a gold chain, a black patterned dress shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
