Toronto police are investigating three separate, overnight firearm discharges across the city, including one that appears to have occurred near a playground.
The first incident was reported in the area of Sheppard Avenue and Jane Street at around 1:30 a.m.
Police said they were called to a townhouse complex for a reported shooting.
Images from the scene show a playground cordoned off with police tape and evidence markers on the ground next to the play equipment.
Police said a window was damaged but no injuries were reported.
The second incident occurred near Islington and Bering avenues shortly before 3 a.m.
Police said a residence was damaged in the area but no one was injured.
About an hour later, shots rang out near Bay and Charles streets in Toronto’s downtown core.
Police said a vehicle was damaged by the gunfire but once again, no injuries were reported.
Investigators have not indicated that they believe the three firearm discharges are connected.
No suspects have been apprehended in any of the three incidents.
