The 2026 FIFA World Cup is less than two weeks away and organizers announced Friday that Toronto will host a Countdown Concert to kick off the tournament.
Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi and AHI are among the homegrown talent that will perform on the Fan Festival grounds at Toronto’s Fort York Historical Site and The Bentway. The June 10 concert will also feature performances by Wyclef Jean, Sanjoy and Vegadream.
FIFA describes the concert series as the “first-of-its-kind” as the 90-minute event will take place simultaneously with concerts in Mexico City and Los Angeles, the details of which have not been released.
General admission tickets to the show go on sale at 10 a.m. today for $36+tax.
The concert comes a day before the official start of the tournament on June 11 and two days before the first-ever FIFA match on Canadian soil at Toronto Stadium, where Team Canada will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Details were released last month about the lineup of performers at Toronto’s Fan Festival, which include Alessia Cara as well as bands like Bedouin Soundclash, Big Wreck and Walk off the Earth.
