A fuel truck rolled onto its side at Billy Bishop Airport on Saturday afternoon, resulting in “moderate impact” on operations.
A spokesperson for the Toronto Port Authority said the incident happened near Gates 1 and 2 around 3 p.m.
“A small amount of fuel has leaked from a vent on the truck, however the fuel has been contained,” the spokesperson said.
“There is a moderate impact to operations as these gates are currently closed to facilitate clean-up.”
No injuries have been reported. According to the airport’s website, some flights were delayed following the rollover.
Toronto Fire Services said its crews are supporting the airport’s fire department as they remove the contained fuel.
