Six people have been arrested after gold and silver coins were stolen from a Leslieville store in March.
The robbery happened in the morning of March 23 in the area of Queen Street East and Empire Avenue.
A store employee let in the suspects, believing they were buyers, police said.
However, once inside, the suspects allegedly physically restrained the employee and then stole a quantity of gold and silver coins.
Shortly after, police said the suspects fled in a vehicle.
Along with the Canada Border Services Agency, police executed a search warrant on May 14, which they said resulted in the seizure of a replica firearm and evidence.
In a news release on Friday, police identified the suspects as 47-year-old Floria Caldarar of Pickering; 39-year-old Anton Clopotar of Mississauga; 35-year-old Nistar Lazar of Pickering; 34-year-old Mon Lucian Banghios of Pickering; 23-year-old Horia Nistor Haret of Pickering; and 49-year-old Tuesan Nistor Solomon of Pickering.
All of them are facing charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Some are facing additional charges of forcible confinement, disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
