Toronto police say a man wanted in a criminal harassment investigation in the city’s east end is now in custody.
Police allege that a 29-year-old woman was walking in the area of Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue at around 7 p.m. on May 21 when a man followed her on the sidewalk.
The man, according to police, then followed her as she tried to leave the area.
Police say she was able to flee and contact police.
On Monday, a suspect, identified as Todd Christopher Rose, 50, was arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
He has been charged with criminal harassment by repeatedly following another person and criminal harassment by repeatedly communicating with a person.
