Two elderly women were injured when they were hit by tree branches while on a patio in the east end on Saturday afternoon, Toronto police said.
Emergency crews responded to the incident in the area of Danforth and Broadview Avenues shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The women’s injuries appear not to be life-threatening, police said.
The branches also brought down hydro wires in the area.
It’s breezy in Toronto, with westerly winds at around 54 km/h at 1 p.m., according to Environment Canada.
