Toronto police search for 7 suspects wanted for murder in fatal shooting

Police have released images of seven suspects wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Rexdale last month.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for seven suspects wanted for murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in Etobicoke last week.

Police on Tuesday provided an update on their investigation into the killing of Anthony Taylor.

The 28-year-old was shot in a hallway on the upper floors of a Toronto Community Housing building near Queens Plate Drive and Rexdale Boulevard on the evening of May 31, police said.

Taylor died at the scene.

Police identified the seven new suspects: 23-year-old Dejohn Marlin, 30-year-old Kobina Ackon, 24-year-old Gideon Addae, 35-year-old Lincoln Picart, 23-year-old Daniel Addae, 23-year-old Kyondre Davis and 23-year-old Justin Nichol.

All seven are wanted for second-degree murder.

Addae and Picart are also wanted for firearm-related offences.

Police already have one suspect in custody, 30-year-old Ernest Gyamfy. He is facing a second-degree murder charge.

Investigators previously said that there was a “brief” interaction between the victim and Gyamfy before the shooting.
