2 people seriously injured in QEW collision, paramedics say

Two people have been seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Etobicoke.

It happened on the Toronto-bound lanes of the highway near Evans Avenue.

Toronto paramedics say they assessed nine patients at the scene and transported three people to the hospital, including a man and a woman with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The third person sustained minor injuries, paramedics say.

The cause of the collision is unknown.

Several lanes are closed as a result of the crash.
