Sky-high ticket costs might keep some residents from taking in a World Cup game at Toronto Stadium but there are still dozens of ways to watch the games among fellow soccer fans.

The continental tournament, which features 48 nations and 1,248 players from across the globe, kicks off on June 11 and wraps up on July 19.

The games will take place across 16 cities in North America.

Toronto will host six games from June 12 to July 2 at BMO Field, which has been rebranded as Toronto Stadium for the length of the tournament.

Regardless of where your allegiances lie, watch parties across Toronto will be taking place.

Here is a full list of where you can find them.

Toronto & GTA Watch Parties

FIFA Fan Festival

250 Fort York Boulveard

The official City of Toronto FIFA Fan Festival will be held at the Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway.

General admission tickets are free to the public for 46 live matches from June 11 to July 19 but must be booked through Ticketmaster.

While general admission tickets are free, there are also premium packages available at the Fan Festival offering exclusive benefits to those who are willing to pay, including private viewing decks, lounges, expedited entry and unfiltered viewing of the main stage and screen.

A number of performers are also expected to take centre stage, including Shawn Desman, Walk Off the Earth, Murda Beatz, and more.

Local artwork will also be showcased and food will be available for purchase.

Harbourfront Centre

235 Queens Quay West

Team Canada supporters can find refuge at the GE Appliances Canada Soccer House Toronto at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre.

Access to the event is free, and team supporters are encouraged to attend to cheer on Team Canada.

The Canada Soccer House will be hosting select games from June 11 to July 7.

Adidas Home of Soccer Toronto - STACKTMARKET

28 Bathurst Street

Opening in Stackt Market on June 11, adidas is launching its “brand hub,” featuring an outdoor viewing area for Toronto soccer fans.

Entry to the activation space is on a first-come, first-served basis. No advance signup is required. Fans attending can enjoy the games on a large 13.5-foot-by-24-foot TV screen.

Food and beverages will also be available at the site, along with an adidas retail pop-up and athlete appearances, according to its website.

Pride House Toronto

51 Dockside Drive

Located at George Brown’s Waterfront Campus, Pride House Toronto will be hosting all world cup games starting June 12 until the end of the tournament.

In a press release, Pride House Toronto said the venue will act as a inclusive, soccer-focused hub for 2SLGBTQI+ fans, allies, and supporters of all backgrounds and nationalities.

The space will be open for all ages and food and drink will be available for purchase. Entry is free but the organization says admission will be on a first-come first serve basis.

Evergreen Brickworks

550 Bayview Avenue

Nestled into the Don Valley Ravine, charity organizers with Evergreen Brickworks will be hosting select watch parties during the tournament from July 2 to July 19.

Food and drink will be available for purchase and a live DJ will be present on game days.

Birchmount Community Centre

93 Birchmount Rd

Those in the Scarborough Southwest community will be able enjoy a free watch party and other activities this weekend, hosted by local Toronto City Councilor Parthi Kandavel in partnership with Scarborough Arts and Eat More Scarborough.

On Friday, between 2 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Team Canada will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina. The free watch party will be held in the Birchmount Community Centre parking lot.

On Saturday, those attending can enjoy live entertainment and community orientated activities including soccer activations, local art and music.

Food will also be available for purchase.

University of Toronto

31 King’s College Circle

University of Toronto’s St George Campus will be hosing an outdoor watch party live streaming the first three Team Canada games at King’s College Circle during the tournament.

Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina - June 12, 3 p.m.

Canada vs. Qatar - June 18, 6 p.m.

Canada vs. Switzerland - June 24, 3 p.m.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or “low profile” lawn chair to sit on, seating is on a first-come basis. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.

Humber Polytechnic

3199 Lake Shore Boulevard West

Humber’s west-end Lakeshore campus will be hosting 20 free outdoor watch parties from July 1 to July 19.

The viewings will also include live music, DJ sets, soccer-film-themed screenings, and “a curation of entertainment from some of Toronto’s top cultural organizations and festivals.”

Richmond Hill

1300 Elgin Mills Road East and 1 Atkinson Street

The City of Richmond Hill is hosting four watch parties for four sperate games for fans to enjoy.

Those attending are encouraged to bring their own seating to the event.

Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina - June 12, 2 p.m.

Richmond Green Park - 1300 Elgin Mills Road East

Canada vs. Qatar - June 18, 5 p.m.

Dave Barrow Civic Square - 1 Atkinson Street.

Canada vs. Switzerland - June 24, 2 p.m.

Dave Barrow Civic Square - 1 Atkinson Street.

The City of Richmond Hill will also host the final FIFA match on July 19 at Richmond Green Park.

Peel Region

Mississauga Celebration Square

300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga

The City of Mississauga will be hosting its own watch party for select games throughout the tournament.

The city is planning to broadcast 59 matches over 23 days at Celebration Square.

“Residents and visitors can enjoy the beautiful game at family-friendly public match screenings in a safe, welcoming environment for fans of all ages,” the City of Mississauga said in a news release.

Ajax

The Town of Ajax will be hosting three Team Canada games during the World Cup for those in the area looking to beat Toronto traffic.

Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina - June 12, 2 p.m.

Canada vs. Qatar - June 18, 5 p.m.

Pat Bayly Square - 55 Bayly St West

Canada vs. Switzerland - June 24, 2 p.m.

Hamilton

Hamilton Stadium

64 Melrose Avenue North, Hamilton

While the Hamilton Tiger-cats typically play at this particular venue, Forge FC will be taking over the stadium to host three Team Canada watch parties.

Forge FC, a Canadian professional soccer club based in Hamilton will host three Team Canada games on June 12, June 18, and June 24.

All three games will be featured on the stadiums videoboard as well as inside the captain’s lounge. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Bars and restaurants

Bars and restaurants across Toronto will be hosting watch parties during the FIFA World Cup.

In May, the Ontario government announced that last-call times will be extended from 2 a.m. until 4 a.m. from June 11 to July 19 for the tournament.

RendezViews

229 Richmond Street West

RendezViews will be hosting matches from June 11 to July 19 for fans from all countries to watch in the venue’s large outdoor space.

Admission to the event is free and those interested can reserve seating on its website; however, it is first come, first served and reservations do not automatically confirm a spot.

The Elephant & Castle

212 King Street West

While known as a British pub and sports bar, the popular downtown venue will host all 48 matches of the World Cup. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Pint Public House

277 Front Street West

Located close to Rogers Centre and the official City of Toronto FIFA Fan Festival, The Pint Public House will feature all FIFA World Cup games, as well as food from all three host countries, and all Team Canada games.

On June 14, 20, and 20 the German Consulate General will be hosting the watch parties in cooperation with Sudkurve Toronto, an official supporter’s club for FC Bayern Munich, at Amsterdam Brewhouse and the Pint Public House.

TKO’s Sports Bar & Restaurant

1600 Danforth Avenue

Located steps away from Coxwell Station, TKO’s Sports Bar & Restaurant will be hosting soccer fans from across the aisle, as well as offering tournament-themed foods.

Real Sports Bar and Grill

15 York Street

Owned and operated by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the venue features a 39-foot screen and dozens of other televisions for FIFA viewing.

Town Crier Pub

115 John Street

The Town Crier Pub, known for its wide selection of draft beers, will be hosting every game during the tournament.

While not a special feature for the tournament, the restaurant serves a variety of German and Belgium dishes.

Amsterdam Brewhouse

245 Queens Quay West Toronto

Toronto’s waterfront brewery will be hosting every FIFA World Cup match during the tournament. To make an advance reservation, visit its website.

A well-known spot and beloved restaurant in little Italy for Toronto soccer fans, Cafe Diplomatico will be hosting FIFA games all tournament long.

Steam Whistle Roundhouse

Found steps away from the CN Tower, Steam whistle will be hosting several matches during the tournament.
