Arrests made in Woodbine Beach stabbing

Toronto police are on the scene of a stabbing at Woodbine Beach on Friday, June 5, 2026.

A 17-year-old boy facing an attempted murder charge is among the four people arrested in connection with a stabbing at Woodbine Beach last week.

Toronto police provided the update in a news release on Thursday afternoon.

Police said a group of suspects approached two people on the beach on the evening of June 5.

Shortly after, they got into a verbal and physical altercation, which saw one suspect brandishing a knife and stabbing one victim.

Police said the two victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In Thursday’s news release, they identified two suspects as 18-year-old Rabeea Ziadah and 18-year-old Katchig Daniel. The other two suspects, who are 17-year-olds, cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

All four have been charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm.
