Several roads in downtown and west-end Toronto will be closed this weekend as events across the city ramp up.
In addition to a number of closures related to FIFA World Cup 2026–related events, roads will also be affected by parades, street festivals, construction projects and charity events.
Here’s what you need to know.
Taste of Italy
College Street between Bathurst Street and Shaw Street will be closed throughout the weekend for the Taste of Little Italy street festival.
Closures begin Friday at 10 a.m. and will remain in place until 3 a.m. Monday.
Portugal Day Parade
Multiple roads will be closed Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Portugal Day parade.
Affected routes include:
- Oakwood Avenue from Rogers Road to St. Clair Avenue West
- St. Clair Avenue West from Robina Avenue to Old Weston Road
- Caledonia Park Road from St. Clair Avenue West to Davenport Road
Ride to Conquer Cancer
The Ride to Conquer Cancer returns to Toronto this weekend, resulting in several lane and road closures.
Closures will be in effect Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the following routes:
- The Queensway from Sherway Gardens Road to The West Mall
- The West Mall from The Queensway to The West Mall (two northbound lanes)
- The West Mall from West Mall Crescent to Bloor Street West (one northbound curb lane)
- Bloor Street West from The West Mall to the Peel Region border (westbound lanes)
- North Queen Street from The Queensway to Nova Road
