Sun, showers in store for Toronto this weekend

Keep both umbrellas and sunscreen handy this weekend as Toronto is expecting to see a mix of sun and showers with warm temperatures.

According to Environment Canada, temperatures are expected to remain above 23 C throughout the weekend.

This morning, meteorologists forecast cloudy conditions with a 40 per cent chance of showers.

Skies are expected to clear by the afternoon, with a high of 29 C, a UV index of 9 and westerly winds of 30 to 50 km/h.

This evening, skies are expected to clear, with a low of 19 C.

Sunny conditions are expected to continue into Saturday, with a high of 28 C and a low of 20 C.

Rain is expected to move in on Sunday, with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 23 C.

The rain is expected to taper off by the evening, with a low of 10 C.
