One man has been rushed to hospital from a Brampton restaurant after a large fight involving eight or more people broke out early Saturday morning.
In an email to CP24, police say the incident happened both inside and outside a restaurant near McVean Drive & Cottrelle Boulevard at approximately 3:44 a.m.
Police add that one person suffered a “very bad cut on their leg” was treated by paramedics. Police said investigators are still trying to determine how the injury occurred.
There were reports of broken glass throughout the area and police say it is possible the man was cut during the altercation.
Meanwhile, Peel paramedics say their emergency crews responded shortly after 4 a.m. and transported an adult male to a local hospital with injuries that were considered minor.
Police said most of the people involved in the fight are known to one another.
The investigation remains ongoing
