46-year-old man arrested in Toronto east-end stabbing

A 46-year-old man has been arrested after a stabbing in Toronto’s east end on Saturday night.

It happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. near Danforth Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue.

According to police, the suspect and the victim got into an argument, during which the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with a weapon.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Police say the suspect was located a short time later.

Jason Passmore, 46, of Toronto, was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday.
