Car found submerged in lake at Bluffer’s Park

Toronto Fire says that by the time they arrived on scene, the driver was out of the vehicle and it was submerged in water. No injuries have been reported.

No injuries were reported after a car was found fully submerged in the water in Scarborough on Thursday morning.

Toronto Fire told CP24 that crews were called to Bluffer’s Park at around 2:30 a.m. for reports that a vehicle had driven down a boat ramp and into the lake.

The driver was out of the car when crews arrived on scene.

Police said the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and was taken to hospital to be assessed.
