Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Scarborough seriously injured

A pedestrian in Scarborough was struck by a vehicle and sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police say a pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Wednesday night.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Birchmount and Comstock roads, south of Eglinton Avenue, just after 11 p.m. for a collision.

Police told CP24 that a 31-year-old driver struck a 63-year-old woman. She was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene. It’s unclear if any charges will be laid, police said.
