CP24's Bill Coulter visits the popular brunch spot in Toronto's west end and finds out what is 'On the Menu'

Sisters and Co. is a brunch restaurant near Trinity Bellwoods Park that offers up an ‘Asian-influenced’ menu with dishes like Bulgogi Beef Benedict and a Spicy Oxtail Stew.

But it also might have some of the best pancakes around, at least according to internationally-acclaimed recording artist Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny visited the restaurant back in 2024 and later told Billboard Canada in an interview that he would return to Canada just for their cookie butter pancakes.

The dish costs $18.50 and features three buttermilk pancakes topped with Biscoff cookie crumble, cookie butter whipped cream and syrup.

“Bad Bunny came the day after his concert and that was crazy. I was working on bar, saw him walking in and I was like ‘No way,’” Hillary Lee, one of the co-owners of the restaurant, told Bill Coulter during a recent CP24 On the Menu segment, explaining that Bad Bunny took pictures with staff inside the restaurant and even left with a Sisters and Co mug.

Sisters and Co. was founded by Hillary and two other close friends back in 2019.

Lee tells CP24 that while the restaurant serves up lots of breakfast classics – pancakes included. – it tries to put a different spin on some of the brunch standards and offer “flavours that are very different from the traditional breakfast place.”

Take its oxtail soup, which combines bone-in oxtail with beef ribs in a spicy tomato broth with onions, carrots, celery and a sunny side up egg.

“Growing up my mom always made Russian pierogi soup but then she would incorporate oxtail into it and I thought why not add it to the menu,” she said. “I wanted something with oxtail because it is so rich and flavorful and not many people have even tried oxtail.”

Sisters and Co. is located at 887 Dundas Street West.
