Man stabbed at Scarborough plaza, suspect outstanding

A male suspect is at-large after a man in his 30s was stabbed near Al Baaqi Supermarket at 678 Kennedy Rd. in Scarborough on June 21.

A male suspect is at-large after a man in his 30s was stabbed in Scarborough late Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened near Al Baaqi Supermarket at 678 Kennedy Rd., south of Eglinton Avenue East.

Toronto police said they were called to that area at around 5:10 p.m. for reports of a stabbing at a commercial plaza.

There, officers found a male victim who had been stabbed.

His injuries are being described as non-life-threatening.

The suspect, meanwhile, fled prior to police arrival, police said.

He is a described as having long hair and wearing black pants and a grey/black hoodie, and carrying a blue/black duffle bag.

There is a large police presence in the area.
