School is nearly out for the summer in Ontario.
The last day of school for students across the province will fall between Wednesday and Friday, depending on the board and whether it is a secondary or elementary school.
With the way that Labour Day falls this calendar year, students won’t return to their classrooms until Sept. 8 for the next school year.
This is a full week later than when the 2025-26 school year started.
At the same time many camps and other programing will end, as usual, at the end of August.
That could leave some parents in a child care crunch for the first week of September.
