Toronto police intercepted another drone near the FIFA Fan Fest at Fort York on Sunday night, the 14th such incident since the World Cup got underway earlier this month.

The latest report involving an unauthorized drone took place near Strachan Avenue and Ordnance Street at around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday and follows two people being charged for flying drones in the same area on Saturday.

Police have said that the area surrounding Toronto Stadium, the FIFA Fan Fest and Centennial Park (where a practice pitch is located) have all been deemed no fly zones through the entire World Cup.

“Toronto Police are actively enforcing all illegal drone activity,” Toronto police said in a post on social media early Monday morning.

Police say that youth can also be charged for violations of the no-fly zone and they are encouraging parents to “know the rules and monitor your child’s drone use.”
