Section of Yonge Street reopens after car crashes into traffic light

Clean up efforts begin on Yonge near Lawrence after a pickup truck knocks over a light post.

A section of Yonge Street has reopened following a collision early Tuesday morning, Toronto police say.

The single-vehicle crash happened at around 5 a.m. in the area of Yonge Street and Chatsworth Drive, south of Lawrence Avenue.

Police said a driver crashed into a traffic light pole, knocking it down.

No injuries were reported.

Police said Yonge Street was closed between Chatsworth Drive and Glengrove Avenue but reopened at around 7 a.m.
