Man accused of killing parents caught on doorbell camera in Etobicoke as search for him continues

Jordan Sangwin, who is wanted in the murders of his parents, was spotted in Etobicoke.

A 46-year-old man wanted for the murder of his parents was captured on a doorbell security camera running in a residential neighbourhood in south Etobicoke on Friday afternoon as the search for him continues.

Peel police confirmed on Saturday that the man seen in the doorbell camera footage obtained by CTV News is Jordan Sangwin.

At 3:06 p.m., Sangwin, wearing a grey hoodie with dark-coloured shorts and carrying a black duffel bag, is seen running past a house in the area of Yachters Lane and Lake Shore Road West.

Three minutes later, a police officer is seen walking and is heard radioing in the sighting.

At 3:11 p.m., two other officers holding guns are caught on the doorbell camera walking past and one is heard saying, “he could have jumped through, he could have gone through a yard.”

Peel police and Toronto police were in the area on Friday searching for Sangwin, who has been on the run since June 18, when he allegedly killed his parents, 70-year-old Carol and 71-year-old Garwood, at their home near Lakeshore Road East and Hurontario Street in Mississauga.

Police also shared on Friday two new images of Sangwin, which they said were taken on June 21, two days after the murders.

He is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two counts of first-degree murder.

Police would not reveal where the photos were taken “to protect the integrity of the investigation.”

Sangwin is considered armed and dangerous and police are asking anyone who sees him to contact 911 immediately.

They are also urging residents in the area to remain vigilant as officers continue to look for Sangwin.
