It happened near the intersection of Neilson Road and Tapscott Road shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Toronto police say a male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speaking to reporters near the scene of the crash, Toronto Police Duty Insp. Errol Watson said the motorcyclist was travelling southbound on Neilson Road when he was struck by a vehicle.

“Emergency services arrived on scene and performed life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased,” Watson said.
Police have not yet identified the motorcyclist who died in the collision, Watson said.
“This is an incredibly heartbreaking event, and our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time,” he said.
