A 48-year-old rideshare driver has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman following a drop-off in Toronto.

Toronto Police said they responded to a call for sexual assault at around 1:20 p.m. on June 28 in the area of Danforth and Broadview avenues.

Police allege a female victim requested a ride through a car share application and the suspect sexually assaulted her before she got out of the vehicle.

In a news release issued on Wednesday, police say they arrested Brampton resident Nathaniel Ezema and charged him with sexual assault.

The charge has not been tested in court.
