Families looking to spend Canada Day at the Toronto Zoo will have to think of a plan B as it has been shuttered early due to a “sitewide power outage.”
The Toronto Zoo says the outage is forcing them to close for the rest of the day. The circumstances surrounding the outage are unclear.
“We are taking precautions for the safety and wellbeing of the animals, staff, volunteers and guests,” zoo officials wrote in a news release.
The zoo urges the public to follow their social media pages for updates on the situation.
