A serious collision has shuttered Highway 401’s westbound exit ramp to Highway 427 in Etobicoke, according to provincial police.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police say a transport truck “side swiped” a white SUV, which sent the vehicle out of control.
The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and the passenger was also sent to hospital, according to OPP.
Police urge motorists to consider alternate routes as the closure is “expected to be lengthy.”
