An 81-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 427 in Etobicoke on Thursday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said the vehicle slammed into a guardrail in the northbound lanes of the highway near Finch Avenue West around 2 p.m.
The 81-year-old who was from Mississauga was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Two other occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is unknown.
Police closed all northbound lanes of the highway at Finch Avenue for the investigation.
They are asking anyone with information, including dashcam footage, to contact investigators at 1-888-310-1122.
