Boy riding his bike struck by vehicle in Etobicoke

A boy is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Etobicoke on Sunday afternoon.

It happened in a residential neighbourhood near Islington Avenue and Bloor Street West around 3 p.m.

Toronto police say the young cyclist sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are not immediately known.
