A cyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after they were struck by a driver in Toronto’s Moss Park neighbourhood on Monday morning.

It happened on Queen Street East at Berkeley Street at around 11:35 a.m.

Police say that the driver of a large truck involved remained at the scene.

Aerial footage from CP24’s chopper shows a cement truck stopped in the intersection with police tape visible. The truck appears to have been completing a turn when it came to a stop.

Queen Street East is currently closed in both directions between Berkeley and Ontario streets as police investigate.

Police are warning drivers to “expect traffic delays in the area.”
