York Regional Police have charged a psychologist who allegedly sexually assaulted a young patient during an appointment, and police believe there may be additional victims.
Investigators said on June 29, the victim attended an appointment at a clinic located near John Street and Bayview Avenue in Markham.
“During the appointment, the victim was given a massage and touched inappropriately,” police said in a news release issued Wednesday. The victim was not injured.
Police did not disclose the victim’s age or any other details about the alleged assault.
On July 4, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Markham and 61-year-old Farrokh Sedigh-Deilami was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
Investigators released his image as they believe there may be additional victims.
