Teen critically injured in Etobicoke moped crash

A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life after losing control of a moped on a residential street in Etobicoke.

The collision happened at around 9:47 p.m. in the Willowridge neighbourhood near Redgrave Avenue East and Clarington Road area, which is located near the intersection of Martin Grove Road and The Westway.

Police say the teen was operating a black moped on Redgrave Drive when he lost control and crashed. He was taken to the hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries, they said.

Traffic Services is investigating.

Toronto police are asking anyone in the area who may have footage of the incident or the area to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
