Toronto is expected to see “more comfortable” conditions this weekend but more muggy weather will return to the GTA next week, CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter says.
“After a few muggy days in the GTA, yesterday’s storms marked the leading edge of a drier and more comfortable air mass into the region,” he said Friday.
“A few lingering isolated showers will pop up over southern and southwestern Ontario today. But the general trend is towards clearer skies and lower humidity.”
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 28 C on Friday, feeling closer to 34 with the humidity.
Sunshine and daytime highs of 28 and 29 are expected on Saturday and Sunday.
“Saturday will be bright and very comfortable. Sunday will be sunny, warm, and very pleasant,” he noted.
Tropical air will begin to push back into the region on Monday, Coulter said, and Tuesday and Wednesday will be much more hot and humid.
Daytime highs of 31 C, 33 C, and 30 C are in the forecast for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
“Tuesday and Wednesday will remind us of how hot and humid July days can get with both day’s humidex flirting with 40,” Coulter said.
“Thursday will continue to be muggy, but temperatures pull back a touch and the risk of showers rises.”
A high of 27 C is expected on Thursday.
