One dead, several others injured after shooting in North York

One person is dead and two others injured following a triple shooting at Jane and Sheppard.

One person is dead and several others are seriously injured after a late night shooting in North York, Toronto police say.

The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue East.

When officers arrived, they say they located two men in their 20s with gunshot wounds and rushed them to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say a third person was also found but they were pronounced deceased at the scene.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting and there is no word on a suspect description at this time.

The Homicide Unit has since taken over the investigation and an update is expected sometime at around 2 p.m. from Det. Sgt. Sandra Arruda.
