Five people injured, five arrested after shooting near Toronto’s waterfront

Five people have been arrested after three people were shot overnight near Toronto’s waterfront.

Five people are injured and five have been arrested following an early morning shooting near Toronto’s waterfront.

Toronto police say the incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. in the area of Polson Street and Cherry Street.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting but police say when officers arrived they located three people with gunshot wounds, while two others sustained “other injuries.”

Paramedics tell CP24 that all five were transported to hospital but only one is in critical condition.

So far, officials say they have arrested five people and that there is a “heavy police presence in the area.” It’s unclear if there remains any outstanding suspects.
