Gunshot victim injured in Scarborough makes their own way to hospital: police

Shots were fired near Blackwell Ave. and Tapscott Rd. leaving one male victim in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One victim made their own way to hospital early Tuesday morning following a shooting in Scarborough.

Gunshots rang out at around 2:25 a.m. in the area of Tapscott Road and Blackwell Avenue.

Officers arrived to find evidence of a firearm discharge in the area. At around the same time, police said, a victim walked into a nearby hospital with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The condition of the victim was not released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
