Teenage boy rushed to hospital with serious injures after struck by vehicle in Scarborough

A 16-year-old boy has been struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Scarborough, Toronto police say.

The incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of Neilson Road and McLevin Avenue.

Police say the boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and note the driver remained on scene.

There is no word on any official road closures, but officials are advising drivers to “expect delays” in the area.
