Toronto police say two people are facing dozens of charges after officers conducted a search warrant late Tuesday night in Scarborough.

In a news release, officials say the search happened at around 11 p.m. in the area of Birchmount Road and St. Clair Avenue East on July 14.

Police say upon arrival, officers discovered an illegal handgun, extended magazine, ammunition and various quantities of drugs and cash.

As a result of the probe police say 34-year-old Ryan McQuinn of Toronto is facing multiple charges including possession of a prohibited firearm and three counts of criminal harassment.

Meanwhile Reka Balogh, 22, of Toronto is also facing multiple charges including possession of a weapon and possession of a “Schedule I substance” for the purpose of trafficking.

None of the charges have been tested in court.
