Missing 15-year-old girl from Scarborough located ‘in good health’ after police, parents appeal for help to find her

A 15-year-old girl who went missing from central Scarborough almost three days ago has been located “in good health,” Toronto police say.

Ruqayyah was last seen on Saturday, July 11 at 11:30 p.m., near Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue East.

A media officer from Toronto police shared that she has been found just before 8:15 p.m.

Police, parents appealed for help to find her

Speaking during a Tuesday afternoon news conference, Insp. Erroll Watson said the teen’s family had not heard from her since she went missing and they are ”very concerned for her safety.“

He asked the public to review any camera footage or any dashcam footage from the last few days to look for anyone who matches the girl’s description.

Ruqayyah’s parents also spoke during the news conference, saying that they they and her four siblings “love her and miss her deeply.”
