Suspect sought after youth sexually assaulted on TTC bus: police

Police allege the suspect engaged the victim in conversation before sexually assaulting them.

Toronto police are working to identify a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a young person on board a TTC bus last week.

According to police, the incident happened in the area of Victoria Park and Danforth avenues at around 4 p.m. on July 16.

Police allege that a youth boarded a TTC bus at Victoria Park Subway Station and sat in the first row behind the driver.

The suspect, police allege, boarded the bus and sat beside the victim.

Investigators say the suspect engaged the victim in conversation before sexually assaulting them and exiting the bus at Danforth Avenue.

The man has been described as about five feet, eight inches tall, 190 pounds, and between 30 and 40 years old.

He was wearing a green polo shift, dark grey sweatpants, and dark fisherman-style sandals.

Images have been released in an effort to identify him.
